Im writing this blog after a discussion/debate that has just taken place at work. Basically upon having hit a bit of a quiet patch as far as work is concerned we began to talk about the UK...in a round about fashion...and some interesting points were made as to what our views on what is wrong with how the country is run (on an overall level rather than a political level) and if we got the chance to do something about it "what would we do?".
After hearing the views and ideas of my co-workers (people ive known and worked with for 5 years!!) i got to wondering what the views of other people in the country were? So here i am waiting your views on anything that you think needs changing about the way that this country is run...now obviously i'm a mere mortal and i'm not going to be able to do anything with it once i've heard what you have to say however it would interest me to know what points the UK as a whole agrees upon and what the biggest sore points are.
I hasten to add that i do not wish to open a forum for any kind of political, racial, sexist, ageist (or any other 'ist' for that matter) views!!
This is at most going to be a friendly debate, i would like to absolve myself of any of the views of participants as they are not that of me.
Heres a few things that we touched upon....
-The prison system
-Certain license fees
-Freedom of speech/Political correctness
-The cult of celebrity
So lets get cracking...anything you want to say...go for it.
